Christian, Sarah and Tay Fox

1974 – 2026

From Sarah & Tay

Our beloved Batman and Daddy was taken from us very suddenly, and far too soon on the afternoon of 22 April 2026.

Christian was the strongest man in our world, but his body failed the 3 of us. Christian was given another 22 years of life after emergency major heart surgery at the age of 30. We are so grateful for those that saved him and supported him then — so that Tay and I could know him.

The fact that Chris and I met in 2014 was nothing short of fate as we lived in 2 different worlds — my tinder fling with no strings attached.

Tay forced himself into our lives unexpectedly and has brought us both, along with our families, an unmeasurable joy we never thought we would know.

We lived life with few regrets. We travelled the world together. Chris made all my dreams come true. Just not the one of growing old together, building our forever home and quenching our endless wanderlust. I know he will watch Tay grow from wherever he is.

As a family we could not have been luckier than to have the experience we have had since leaving the UK in late September. We have travelled the world. Seen the people we love. And Chris got to come home. Our happiest times have been these last months.

We are so appreciative of the immense love and care we have been surrounded by since our rock was taken from us.

Christian is loved by my family and friends across the world — South Africa, the UK, Canada, Dubai/Saudi Arabia and colleagues in Germany. For those so far away I know it is hard to not be able to hold us right now.

Our thoughts are with Tricia — Chris's mum, his sisters Kendall & Danielle, and the nieces, nephews and cousins. And to his dearest friends and previous colleagues — it is so beautiful to see how much you love Chris.

We will love you and miss you forever Batman.

For Tay

The greatest gift you can give Tay

Keep Chris's memory alive for Tay. Please share a memory, a story, a moment — written or by voice note, or a photo that captures who Chris was to you, or to help Tay remember the short time he had with his Daddy.

These will be gathered and shared when the time is right. There is nothing too short or too long — all of it matters.

Supporting Tay

A contribution if you wish

Our little family have found a sanctuary in Tay's school — Brisbane Montessori School. This school will be our refuge for some time — it's nothing like other schools. If you'd like to make a financial contribution to Tay's school fees, please drop your email address below and banking details will be sent for South Africa, the UK and Australia by reply email.

A little help

As we are new to town, and my local guide and handyman is gone, there may be times I need contacts for services, places to get things or that little DIY job — along with a shoulder to lean on. Would you be able to be part of a group of people I can reach out to occasionally for resources?
